Show SUNDAY SCHOOL schoon UNION MEETING preliminary proceedings the usual monthly meeting of the sunday school union commenced on monday evening in the assembly hall at the sunday school union brass band rendered some lively strains under the able of bro EBe eue E beezley ezley this occasion was the first appearance of this band in public and reflected the greatest credit on all concerned the eighth ward sunday school chol choi runder the leadership of Br bro john chamberlain then san sang rosy bosy rosy light of morning 11 prayer was isas offered by elder abram 11 cannon singing again aram by the choir entitled utah queen of the west 11 music by byj J al chamberlain superintendent george goddard remarked that it was perceptible that the assembly hall hali would not accommodate i all who wished to be present and general superintendent george Q cannon had given instructions tor lor lor the lighting up of the large tabernacle to which building the audience was requested to repair in as orderly a manner as possible for the continuance of the meeting on reassembling assembling re in the tabernacle the sight which met the eye was one of the most pleasing possible to imagine and must have been one ot the greatest if not the greatest episode in sunday school union life that has been witnessed cither in utah or the world thousands nearly filled the body of the spacious hall and a consider considerable considerably abl abi number flocked to the points of vantage in the large gallery and over all tho sparkling brilliancy of the vast sweep ot of lights lent their halo to the beauty of the ahe scene on restoration of order the sunday school union bands enlivening strains again pleased their hearers brother john morgan alor an desired the deacons of the
