Pres Trevor John Labium was retained as president of the parent stake, as was Theron Arlvnn Bowles, as first counselor Glen Alvin Weight was named second counselor to fill the vacancy caused by calling Tics. Brady as president of the new stake. Pres Brady was born Feb. 10, 1923, in Breen, Colo . a son of William Isom and ' stella Mae Ball Brady. He married Fa eh n Adelpha Wheeler of Red Mesa. Colo . and they are parents of 10 children. one deceased He has served as counselor in a blanch piesidencv and m a bishopric, as a high councilor and as a counselor m the stake presidency. He is employed by Fleet i onics Enterprises. 'res Beaer was born Sept. 3, 1932, in Roy. Utah, a on of Mark and Minnie Blanche Baker Beazer. He married Not mu Grace Cook of Syracuse, Utah, and they have six chtldrc-n- . He has served as stake mission president, bishop's counselor in two wards and as a bishop He was graduated from University of Utah with a B S degree and is employed by Eve Gate House as a salesman of instructional materials Pres. Phillips was born Jan. 21, 1930, m Taylorsville, Utah, a son of John C. and Catherine Butterfield Phillips. He married Joy Nielsen of Murray, Utah, and they have three children. He has served as ward clerk, bishops counselor and high councilor. He is employed as a foreman of Midwest Construction Co. Pres. Weight was born June 6, 1933, in Spnngville, Utah, a son of Leo Dean and -- Lola Brown Weight. He married Hazel McIntosh of Salt Lake City and they have sev en children, one deceased. He has served as elders quorum president. Sunday School president, bishop and as a missionary to Finland. lie graduated from Utah State University with a B S degree. VALLE HERMOSO MEXICO The new V alle Hermoso Merico Stake was created from the Mexico North Mission Oct 28, 1973, under the direction of President Spencer VV. Kimball of the Council of the Twelve, with Elder Kenneth Wagner, Regional Representa-tie of the Twelve, assisting. v The new stake is composed of eight wards and three branches: Matamoros 1st. Matamoros 2nd, Reyncsa 1st, Reynosa 2nd. Rio Bravo, Sautena, Valle Hermoso 1st and Valle Hermoso 2nd wards and El Control, Rosario and San Fernando branches Benjamin Morales, a former district president, was installed as president of the new stake, with Ignacio Oracio Mendoa and Manuel de la Rosa as counselors. Pres. Moiaies was born April 23, 1931. in San Pedro Gorda Zacatecas, Mexico, a son of Jose Morales and Ignacia Sanchez Morales He married Esparanza Mejia Valdez of V alle Hermoso. Tempas, and they have five children. He has served as a missionary, branch and district president He is occupied as a businessman and farmer. Pres Mendoza was born Dec. 6, 1929, in Col Fco Gonzalez Villarreal, a son of Manuel and Altagracia Saldena Mendoza. Ashton of the Council of the Twelve. Named as counselors were William Robert L. and Wilford Bullmgton Howard Howell Pres. succeeded Pres. Raymond D. McCurdy, who was released. Pres Howell was born April 4, 1933, in Clifton. Idaho, a con of William N. and Cloe Leona Anderson Howell. He married Velma Ann Wilhite of Colton, Calif., and they hav e five children. He has served as waid clerk, missionary to California, stake missionary, YMMIA president and stake clerk. He graduated from the University of Washington with a B.S. degree and is presently employed by the Boeing Co. in Huntsville, A!a. Pres. Bulhngton was born Sept. 14, 1919, in Athens, Ala., a son of Melvin Eugene and Minnie Lee Noblitt Bullington. He married Jewel Mitchell, also of Athens, and they have one son. He has served as Sunday School president, counselor in a district presidency and counselor in the stake presidency. He is president of the firm of Bullington Bros Co., Inc. , . . He married Edna Hooley of Pleasant Grove, Utah, and they have five children. He has served as elders quorum president. counselor in a ward YMMIA, financial clerk and as a high councilor. OLYMPUS STAKE Schaubel first William Partridge, counselor in the Ml Olympus (Utah) Slake presidency, was sustained as president of that stake, Oct. 21. 1973 under the direction of Elder Gordon B Hinckley of the Council ot the Twelve. Sustained as counselors were Rulou Blood Burningham and Francis Armstrong Madsen. Pres. Partridge succeeds Pres. Jack H. Goaslind. who was released. Pres. Partridge was born Jan. 20, 1922 of William m Randiest or. Wyo. a Schaubel and Elsie Partridge. UTAH Four of Ike five Huang sisters attendBrigham Young University from Taiwan flew home the weekend of Oct. 20 to smg throughout their country during two weeks of celebrating national independence day s Singing with the popular quartet wras Howard Lo, who graduated from BYU in e as a librari1969 and now works an at BYU. He is coordinating efforts of the Chinese Students Federation, which sent a charter flight of Chinese students in the United States back to Taiwan for the celebration. The four, Michelle. Lucy, Christine s and Peggy Huang, performed at of basketball games played throughout Taiwan by the federation. The sisters also made TV and special pro ing full-tim- half-time- gram appearances during the celebrations noting Taiwan's independence from Japan as well as Pres. Chiang birthday. Kai-she- The sisters are in Taiwan. They have sung on national TV shows, and in commercials. Their father, Huang Chung Ju. is a retired general. The five girls in the family are attending BYU now. and one of the three boys in the family just received his masters degree from Georgia Tech well-know- n Michelle, a senior in art, was married last month to Roy Tong.
