They are propyl or methyl parabens, widely used as preservatives; mannitol, used as a sweetener and thickener among other things; and sorbitol, used as a sweetener, stabilizer, lubricant and for pending an officer accused of the shooting death of an burglary suspect who sat handcuffed in a patrol car.
