bo be enforced if they continue to be disregarded as they have been in many instances streams now abounding in trout and other edible fish flah will bo be denuded of these desirable articles of food and the waters rendered unfit for culinary purposes the jaw law paged at the last session bession of the legislative assembly and approved march 9 1882 provides that every person who puts into the waters of thia this territory any poisonous poison polson ous oua or explosive su betance substance or anything any tAing that is injurious or that renders the waters unfit for household pur purposes posea is guilty ot a misdemeanor the penalty for this offense offence is imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding six shir months rac rat nine or a fine not exceeding three thres hundred dollars or both in the case cue described by Viva Voce the distance from the nearest jus jua tices cices court makes it inconvenient to enter legal complaint but it appears to us that the magnitude of the offense offence warrants a little extra trouble la in bringing the onni enders offenders to justice such buch reckless disregard of the public good ought to be met by eleray on the part of individuals individuate directly injured but the law provides a remedy which should meet such cabes cases as this section 11 of the act quoted above bays says the county courts of the respective counties of this territory shall at the december term in each boar year a appoint a fish and game comm commissioner a I 1 on whose duty it shall ba to see to the enforcement of the laws for the he protection of fish
