Edgar Hoover Be Replaced?" and Firing Line (Ch. 7, 9 p.m. May 26) which will deal with the move to impeach President Nixon. The Advocates program follows two recent polls that show that fewer than half of the public believe that Hoover should continue as head of the FBI. Firing Line will feature Rep. Paul McCloskey and Allard Lowenstein, president of the Americans for Democratic Action. Both oppose President Nixon. Bill Buckley, host for Firing Line, supports the President. The studio and producer are conducting a search for the proper actress. "We've talked to every actress in the business over the age of 15," says Hal Kamer, "Those who try out either freeze up or are bowled over at the prospects of auditioning with Jimmy Stewart. The Broadway actresses especially are impressed and then fail in auditions. We've auditioned Shirley Temple Black, Mrs. Miller and even thought of having Phyllis Diller." cm.
