It has never worked to our satisfaction. A servic man was sent to make repairs three or four times but each time he left the radios not working. We need a knowledgeable person to help. Can H.D., Delta. you get us any action? Money talks and the amount you spent really proved it. Motorola in Salt Lake sent a field technical representative to accompany the local service shop owner and together they remedied the problem. The other person who came didnt know how to fix the problem and instead of asking Motorola or his employers help, merely ignored it. We like tne comment Motorola made to us: We appreciate your comments it makes responsible and your service companies like ours perform better and exposes those companies with integrity problems. Be patient, books coming returned some books to the Library Guild, Garden City, N.J., as they arrived badly damaged. I have paid for them but they have never been replaced. I have sent them five letters without any answers. Can you help? C.L., Logan. They are replacing the books at once, but it will take three weeks for them to arrive. They are sorry for the misunderstanding and the delays. Five months ago I What to do? Just order I ordered eight tapes from RCA Music Services, Indianapolis, for which I paid $1. I was then to purchase six additional tapes during the next three years. Only one year has gone by and I have had no opportunity to get any of these tapes but nave been billed for $50.15 by a collection agency. A.K., Salt Lake City. They wrote to you on Nov. 5 but received no reply. When the enrollment charges remained unpaid for five months, they decided you did not intend to honor your purchase agreement. So they cancelled the account and added $7.98 plus tax for each of the six purchases needed and sent you a bill. You can remit $50.15 and they will send you sufficient certificates for six more selections at no additional charge. If, however, you do intend to fulfill the contract you signed, advise them in writing, and they will delete the $50.15 billing and reinstate your account. They would have suggested any number of plans to provide you with financial security for the rest of your life. DEAR ABBY: How could you have been so unfeeling to that woman whose son told her she talked too much? (You said, He did you kindness.) Some kindness! The poor woman is probably now and inhibited, when downhearted, before she was merry, cheerful and uninhibited. Which kind of woman would you rather be around? We all know people who tend to be boring because they talk too much. My own mother was a nonstop talker. Once she talked without stopping for 42 minutes. (I timed her.) Of course she was boring, but it didnt kill me to listen Yours for a little more tolerance. MRS. Their friends avoid them, and so do their relatives when they can conveniently do so. DEAR ABBY: My husband is a compulsive writer. Milton was an English major and the editor of his high school newspaper, so he knows something about writing. But he has been going at that typewriter something fierce lately. He has something to say on every subject currently in the news. If President Carter wants to know what to do about the economy or the energy shortage, he should ask Milton. letters-to-the-edit- or I realize that this is a good safety valve for Miltons steam, but every once in a while one of his letters gets published, and he is the laughing stock of the community for months. Its deeper design protects better in wind and By Lindsay R. Curtis, M.D. I have plenty of dates, Mary told me, and I definitely plan to get married eventually. For the time being, though, I want to pursue my profession and business interests. By age 27, Mary already had a doctorate in business and economics, and she was an associate professor at the local university. In addition, she was charming and vivacious. Of course my parents think I should get j married, settle down and have a family, Mary said, and eyed me quizzically. What do you think. Dr. Curtis? i "I think you should do exactly what you want to do," I said, "not what anyone else wants. Mary looked pleased, yet unsatCfied. "There is one thing I worry about, though, she said. If I wait (Until age 30 or so before starting a family, will there be less chance of becoming pregnant?" "Yes, there will be, I replied. As a matter of jfact, Dr. Wayne H.
