The election will not substantially change the makeup of either the Salt Lake City or Murray boards of education, but it will put two new menthol's on the Jordan Board and three new members a majority on the Granite board. The vote will alter the Granite board in another way. With Mrs. Ctirtis' election, the board will have its second woman member in its long history. Mrs. Beth Summerhays, who was elected to the board in 1962 and served two terms as president. is the only previous woman member. Mrs. Curtis' election may be significant from another viewpoint. Her opponent. Connie Birldnshow, was strongly supported by the Granite Education Association. County ,i, ' 0,, ...:' sl ' I- Aor''''., 4.
