But Craig Adams, as the King, is an engaging character to watch. He's sort of a cross between Peter Ustinov and Sebastian Cabot pompous. blustering, and sometimes silly. And Sara Friedman, a tiny sprite of a girl, is a delight as the loquacious and wiggly Dragon. She never stops moving or talking, and has an interesting accent. Meldody Johnson is good, too, as the Kiag's lively wife. My favorite sketch was one called -- Iiintom and Princess Patty-CakeIt's about z nice cowboy who goes off on an adventure to get a cure for his sketches adapted by Peggy Freeman from stories by L. Prank Baum. The stories don't have much substance but the characters are all funny. and the Afternoon Players play them with the alacrity which kids enjoy. And if you are an adult. yet can stand a lot of noise. you may enjoy the show. too.
