Scheller, a native Salt Laker and a convert to Catholicism will be ordained a priest of the Paulist Fathers Community April 27. The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the Paulist mother church of St. Paul the Apostle and Archbishop John J. Maguire of New York will be the ordaining prelate. Rev. Scheller will offer his first mass, a concelebrated service May 5 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 2315 Redondo Ave., Salt Lake City. Mr. Pusey Rt, Rev. Msgr. William A. Vaughan, pastor of St. Ambrose, will be one of the concelebrants. The sermon will be preached by Rev. Frederick Draeger, superior of the Paulist Foundation at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Layton. Rev. Scheller was graduated from Olympus High School and became interested in the faith during high school In 1959 he began two years of study at St. Peters College, Baltimore, Md., before attending the Paulists major seminary in Washington, D.C.
