Show summer ends, some 10, Saints young Latter-da- y enjoy the fun and inspiration of participating in one of 13 Youth Conferences on Brigham Young University campus. Each conference will be planned to indude religious worship, athletic talent shows, events, dinner-dance- , information classes, participation sports including swimming, ban games and bowling. Coining to enjoy the hospitality of the campus are: Explorers from Moore, Ida., June girls from Spanish Downey, Calif., June Fork stakes, June 2; Denver Ogden stakes, group. June Aug. Murray stakes, Aug Stakes, Aug. Emigration Explorers, Aug. and Gleaners, Cottonwood Sugar House Stake, Aug. Aug. East Grant Stake, Aug. Sharon Stake, Sept. Initiating the calendar of youth conferences were young people from four stakes in Sandy. They were on campus June 2, 3 and 4. Their three-da- y activity schedule concluded with an inspiring fast and testimony meeting during which President N. Eldon Tanner addressed the young people and their parents. He said President David O. McKay sent a reminder to the young men and women to Remember who you are and act accordingly. Pres. Tanner chose the theme of the conference for his topic, Seek Exaltation, Emphasize Knowledge. Speaking of Joseph Smith, he said he was chosen as a prophet of God for many reasons, one being that Joseph was obedient to the parents who taught him faith, prayer, love of scriptures and love of God. He testified that Joseph Smith translated by the power of God. Nobody knew until that time that Jesus Christ had ever visited this continent. He encouraged the young men and women to prepare themselves for exaltation by living the Gospel. Youll be happier all the time. Youll be loved and respected.
