' evacuated from Lebanon in the Eight missionaries were Middle East this week and flown to Rome where they will be reassigned in the Swiss Mission. All American members of the Church in Beirut, about 20 of them also were flown out. The missionaries reported that they suffered no unpleasant experiences and said the native members were friendly to the U.S. Pres. Rendell N. Eldon Tanner of the First Presidency will dedicate new chapels in Utah and Canada. These two chapels are part of 19 chapels approved for dedication. 7' . .ia.-i- r-' - 7th-3r- d '- , .& ' President Brown will dedicate two chapels in the North Jordan Stake Sunday, June 18. The first will be the North Jordan and North Jordan 9th Ward chapel. The new stake center and Ward chapel will be dedicated the same afternoon. President Tanner will dedicate the Edmonton 3rd and 5th Ward chapel in Edmonton Stake, Alberta, Canada, on June 1L Muscatine Branch chapel, Cedar Rapids Stake, Iowa, will be dedicated June 18 by Elder Sterling W. Sill. Costa Mesa and Newport Beach Wards chapel, Santa Ana Stake, California, will be dedicated in July by Elder Alvin R. Evans of the Council of the Twelve was honored at a formal supper by the Salt Lake Rotary Club in Hotel Utah Tuesday evening. Referred to as a man to match our mountains, Elder Evans was honored for his term just concluding as president, Rotary International. Elder Evans has been a member erf Rotary since 1938 and photo bit j M. Hostop has steadily advanced up through the local, district and international offices since 1948. The appreciation for his services was presented by Charles A. Boynton Jr., with presentation of a gift by Harold Woolley, president of the Salt Lake Rotary Club. Mrs. Evans accompanied Elder Evans to the dinner. Elder Kimball's Son Honored Message of Inspiration Revelation is unfolding truth whether in the test tube, the human mind or a message from the Creator. It is the infinite becoming known. Death is not extinguishing the light but putting out the lamp because dawn has come. Night never has the last word. The dawn is irresistible. Spencer L. Kimball, son of Elder Spencer W. Kimball of the Council of the Twelve, has been honored by appointment to a special New York State Committee on Insurance Holding Companies. The six member committee will determine the best way of reconciling the public interest, the protection of policyholders and the reasonable expectations of company management in the holding company field, according to the New York Superintendent of Insurance. Mr. Kimball is Professor of Law at the University of Michigan and a leading writer on the principles of insurance regulation. He is now directing the recodification of the insurance laws of the State of Wisconsin.
