Show Mission Presidents Assignments Told Assignments to specific missions have been mad$ to 15 new mission presidents who have been appointed by the First Presidency during the past few weeks without designation of the areas over which they will preside. The new mission presidents, and those they will succeed are as follows: Pres. H.' Duane Anderson to the French Mission succeeding Pres. Cecil E. Hart with headquarters in Paris. Pres. Theron M. Ashcroft to the Irish Mission succeeding Pres. Rolland L. Jaussl, with headquarters in Belfast. Pres. Norman R. Bowen to the Eastern Atlantic States Mission succeeding Pres. Wilford M. Burton with headquarters in Bethesda, Md. Pres. Rulon G. Craven to the New Zealand Mission succeeding Pres. C. Do glas Barnes with headquarters in Auckland. Pres. Harvey A Dahl to the Northern Indian Mission succeeding Pres. Grant R. Farmer with headquarters in Rapid City, S.D. Pres. Bryan A. Espenschied to the Western Canadian Mission succeeding Pres. J. Complete reorganization of two stakes resulted in new presiboth in Utah dencies, while new second counselors were called in the Kearns North (Utah) and Sydney, Australia, Stake, respectively. PANGUITCH Stanley E. Dalton, former bishop of the Circleville Ward, was sustained Sunday as die new president of the Panguitch Stake in southern Utah. He succeeds Pres. Vernon L. Holman who has been appointed to the Utah State Tax Commission and has moved to Bountiful. Two high councilors, Jay A. Riggs and Harold A. Gottfredson were sustained as counselors to Pres. Dalton. Pres. Riggs succeeds Pres. Scott B. Smith and Pres. Gottfredson replaces Pres. Frank H. Orton. Mark F. Jones, assistant stake clerk, was named stake clerk, succeeding Joseph C. Foy. Named to the high council were Bruce R. Hronek, Joseph J. Riggs, Farrell D. Hunstman, Raymond S. Whitaker, Ephraim; L. Sorenson and Oliver R. Anderson. Released as high councilors were Meltair V. Hatch, Calvin Wilson, J. Austin Anderson, Augustus Twitch ell, John M. Crofts. The reorganization was directed by Elder Gordon B. Hinckley of the Council of the Twelve, assisted by Elder Franklin D. Richards Assistant to the Twelve. Pres. Dalton is a merchant and farmer. He fulfilled a mission to California and served six years as bishop of the Circleville Ward. Born at Circleville, he married Lahoma Griffin of Escalante and they have seven children. Pres. Riggs Is a native of Summit, Iron County. He married Myrtle Gardiner of Panguitch and they have three sons and four daughters. Previously Pres. Riggs served as bishop five years, high councilor, counselor in tiie stake presidency and Scoutmaster and Explorer advisor. Pres. Gottfredson is a graduate of the Utah State University and has completed graduate studies at several universities. Born at Circleville, he married Jean Hen-ri-e of Panguitch. They have four children. He is a former bishop of (be Circleville Ward and saved seven years as a high councilor. CEDAR CITY The Cedar West Stake Presidency (Cedar City, Utah) was reorganized Sun day under the direction of Elder Howard W. Hunter of the Council of the Twelve. Pres. Conrad V. Hatch, second counselor in the stake presidency was appointed the new president, succeeding Pres. Theron M. Ashcraft who has been called as a mission president. Bishop Gail B. Duncan of the Cedar Fifth Ward was named first counselor, succeeding Pres. Morris A. Shirts, released. Bishop Robert H. Linford of the Cedar City Seventh Ward was sustained as second counselor, succeeding Pres. Hatch. Pres. Hatch Is a graduate of the BYU where he received his masters degree in 1952. In I960 his doctorate was awarded at the Oregon State University. He was born at Koosharem, Utah and married Elva Oldroyd of that town. They have seven children. He is assistant to the president of College of Southern Utah. Prior to his call as second counselor in the stake presidency in January, 1966, he served three years as bishop of the Cedar City Eighth Ward, Pres. Duncan since 1949 has been district supervisor, vocational rehabilitation. A native of Meadow, Utah, he graduated from Utah State University and completed graduate courses at several colleges and universities. He married Audrey Jones Houchen of Meadow and they have one son and one daughter. Pres. Duncan the past 15 months was bishop of the Cedar City Fifth Ward His Church positions have included stake YMMIA and Sunday School superintendent, counselor in bishopric, assistant superintendent in the ward YMMIA. Formerly a high councilor, Pres. Linford has also served as a counselor in a bishopric, ward clerk, stake YMMIA superintendent and dance director of both stake and region. He is a native of Panguitch as is his wife, the former Helen Seaman. They have one son and two daughters. Pres. Linford attended CSU. SYDNEY Donald A Lynam, a resident engineer Sydney, Australia, has been sustained as the new second counselor in the Sydney Sf",-presidency. He succeeds Pres. John D. Parker who was appointed president of the newly formed Sydney South Stake. A convert of 10 years, Pres. Lynam had been a high councilor the past year after presiding over the Ryde Branch. He also has served as branch clerk and Sunday School superintendent Pres. William H. Delves continues as president of the Sydney Stake with Stanley O. Gray as tint counselor. Russell of the Kearns Thirteenth Ward, has been sustained as the new second counselor in the Kearns, (Utah) North Stake Presidency. He succeeds Pres. John M. Bevan who is moving from the stake. The change was effected at the recent quarterly stake conference wider the direction of Elder ElRay L. Christiansen, Assistant to the Twelve. Eugene W. Pearson continues as president of the stake with William L. Hawick as his first counselor. Pres. Russell had been bishop only about six months. Twice he has saved on die high councIL Since 1965 he has been zone 21 athletic supervisor for the YMMIA. He has also served as second counselor In the bishopric and as stake Aaronic Priesthood Committeeman. A salesman of building materials, Pres.
