Show September 22 1975 Page 3 Placement center offers job interviews by Lila Cnnlpy The main emphasis of the Career Planning and Placement Center is to help students be effective in searching for a job said Blair Hale center director The campus center provides services free for students — all that is needed is an interest from the students “With the job market so tight we want to help the students meet the right people and interview well” Hale said The placement center will make a file for each student which includes transcripts recommendations and student teaching reports if the student is in education This file will be kept for ten years This information is available to interviewers who come to campus' or employers from other areas that may request it “We have about 300 to 400 recruiters visit USU each year” Hale said These visitors start coming as early as the third week of fall quarter looking for “spring grads” The placement center provides opportunity for students to make appointments with these representatives frtfm business industry and education The placement center also presentation of how to be effective in an interview Hale said that seniors should come in early during fall quarter and register with them get a file prepared and keep current with the recruiters visiting campus “We are here as a service” Hale said “If the students don’t use us we have no use” The Career Planning and Placement Center is located on the third floor of the University Center Give Heart Fund Give Heart Fund American Heart Association I Greeks wont involvement by Cindy Ford 7:30 pm The Greek fraternities of Utah Tues -
