Show 'S' restate November 3 1972 Pcs 10 Cadets attain d solo wings Aeftovitfi© This past week has been Nixon Week at USU Sponsored jointly by the College Republicans and the Young Republican voters it was intended to bring the candidates and the issues to the student voters Speeches and debates took place all week Today at noon the Nixonites McGovemites and Socialists will debate the merits of their and respective candidates platforms in the Sunburst Lounge The event is not an actual part of Nixon week but is jointly sponsored by the three groups Michael Silva will the McGovern represent and organization Dayne Goodwin will debate for the Socialist Workers Party The Republican speaker has not yet been announced Two other debates were held earlier this week Democratic Congressman Gunn McKay and Republican challenger Bob faced each other while Thorpe Wednesday Wolthius Waddingham Democratic confronted incumbent candidate for attorney general Republican Marion Romney yesterday Richard Richards Nixon’s campaign manager from the western United States spoke briefly after the McKay-Wolthidebate Today’s debate marks the first time all three USU political groups will have met in open public discussion All viable local parties are represented “We would even have invited the American Independents to join us but we couldn’t find any’’ said us Silva Also appearing at USU this week was Republican guber- natorial candidate Nicholas Strike He spoke Tuesday AGGIES!
