Show n The Pay son Chronicle, April 24, 1996, Page 11 Mountain View Stake Honors Twelve Young Women On Saturday, April 28, 1996, Mountain View Stake will honor twelve Young Women for their achievement in earning their Young Womanhood Medallion. Many hours are spent in order for each gui to earn her medallioa It is a great honor and one to be proud of. Girls to be honored are: Lynece Bar-lodaughter of Dave and Sue Barlow; Jan Losser, daughter of Neil and Glenna Losser; Delight Charles, daughter of David and Anita Charles; Lesley Van Wagoner, daughter of Pat and Annette Van Wagoner; Mindy Engle, daughter of Lynece Barlow LaVar and Patsy Engle; Carolynn Montgomery, daughter of Jeff and Patty Montgomery; Emdy Whiting, daughter of Bruce and Gail Whiting; Megan Kew, daughter of Steve and Terry Kew; Shelby Stewart, daughter of Mez and Renee Stewart; Carla Peterson, daughter of Don and Norma Peterson; Rachel Schollen-berge- r, daughter of Ed and Linda Carolyn Jensen, daughter of Ron and Nancy Jensen. Also receiving their Young Womanhood Medallions are the following leaders: Joycelyn Vest, Gail Whiting, Jan Lmdley, Wendy Carter, Joan Kaletta, Jearune Knuteson, Barbara Baker, Nancy Jensen, and Nikki Larsen. ,,?f 0: t Schd-lenberg- i 1 Payson Middle School Science Fair Winners Shelby Stewart On Wednesday, April 10, 1996, the Central Utah Valley Science Fair was held at Utah Valley State College , sponsored under the direction of Brigham Young University. The Alpine, Provo and Nebo School District schools were involved in this years Science Fair. In the Life Science Division, two Payson Middle School girls received first place standings for their science fair exhibit on "microorganisms." The team winners were Ciera Thayne, daughter of Richard and Lucretia Thayne of Elk Ridge; and Amberlee Kay, daughter of Karl and Betty Kay of Payson. Congratulations to Ciera and Amberlee for taking first place at the Central Utah Valley Science Fair. Special thanks to Mr. Bar- tholomew, Payson Middle Schools Science Fair Coordinator, along with Mr. Shuler and Mrs. Renzello, for all their time and effort teaching children a love of science.
