Show Year 6 Oth Heber And Etta Ridd Will Greeted At Open House 80th Year Be Open House To Honor Martha Mitchell Heber Eugene and Etta Day Ridd, residents of Holladay, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family open house at their residence at 4730 Sycamore Drive. A reception will be hosted by their children on Sunday, July 20 from 2 to 8pm 9 West Valley City, UT Valley View News Thurs , July 17, 1980 grade graduation 38 1900 in Fphriam She met her husband when she was years old and began dating him when she was 15 They went together for 2 years and on August 29, 1917 they were married in the Salt lake LDS Temple Martha Mitchell 50th Year Mr and Mrs Paul - Matthews Mark Anniversary Former Benmon residents Preston L and LaVella Matthews will mark 50 years of married life together on 14 July years The couple have known each other since they were in the second grade when Eugene moved back from Canada to Hunter with his parents They went through school together from second grade to high school Eugene helped build the Utah Copper Plant and drew building plans for Morrison Merrill Construction Co for 5 years. He was also a building and had his contractor, own lumber company in Murray He was head engineer for Wicks Construction Co and other engineering firms He still runs and maintains his commercial buildings in Murray In addition to all this Eugene swims at the spa three times a week, swimming the length of the pool at least three times Etta loves gardening, canning, oil painting and quilting and has made beautiful quilts for each one of her sub-divid- grandchildren Named President amt me - 8th The Ridds have nine children, eight are living They are Leon, Floretta (Mrs Rulon) Christensen, LaMar; Dale, Duane and Merrill, all living m the Salt Lake valley.
