Girls Swim In Contest Girls Class 4A and 3A State was held Meet Swim Saturday, November 19, at the University of Utah and girls from the Kearns High Swim Team participated Jackie Martin was the star of the Kearns team, taking first place in the championship finals in the 200 yard Individual Medley. She placed second in the 100 yard Butterfly. The 200 yard Medley Relay team, consisting of Jackie Martin, Gale Harding, Jill Finch and Cheryl Bell, came in fourth. Qualifying for the consolation brackett were Gail Harding in two events, and Jo Finch, in the 500 yard Freestyle Gail Harding went through the consolation finals in the 100 yard Butterfly and the 100 yard Breast Stroke.
