Proclamations August covering all application are available and it is suggested you obtain one before applying for any of the big game permits. de-tl- als HUNTER SAFETY TRAINING TIME With the first of Utahs 1968 big game hunting seasons nearing, the Division of Fish and Game issued a reminder to all first time juvenile hunters that they must qualify through a gun safety training course before they are eligible to purchase a hunting license. state law requires Utah any person under 21 years of age to show a proper certificate when applying for their first hunting license. Juvenile hunters over 16 may present a certificate showing they have passed equivalent training in the armed ROTC, NRA, or services, show their hunting license from a previous year. For information on a training class in your area, you may call the Fish and Game office nearest you or contact your local conservation of- ficer. All hunters 16 years of age and under must show a certificate of competency when purchasing any hunting li- cense. Applications must contain the hunters name, address, choice of hunting area and big game license number along with the proper fee.
