Darhl T i n g e y, Taylorsville Lions representative, when he made the presentation, said that Taylorsville 1st Ward had requested a stand for the tether ball next month, thats how sure they are of winning the court. Zions Bank Installs Sidewalk Heating Salt Lakers will be hot footing it to the corner of Main Street and South Temple next winter to enjoy the new heating system currently being installed in the sidewalks outside the new main offices of Zions First National Bank. Nearly a mile of piping will snake around under the sidewalk adjacent to the building to give an even melting heat, insuring against cold spots which would catch patches of ice. Degree Glenn Latham, 555 Cora Way, Bennion, was awarded a Master of Science Degree in Education, from the University of Utah, on June 11, 1965. He majored in Special Education with emphasis in the educational needs of the mentally retarded. His minor area of study was Educational Psychology. Prior to initiating' his graduate work, Mr. Latham was a teacher at West Jordan Junior High School Presently, he is with the Salt Lake City School as a District, commitcurriculum a of member tee which is waiting a Special Ed. Curriculum Guide for Sec ondary Schools. In the fall he will be a Special Ed. Teacher at Highland High School. Aside from his public school in! work, Mr. Latham is active teachSecond Ward, the Bennion Education at the University of Utah, and extension division classes from the Brigham Young University, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Wilford Training Center for Young Adults and belongs to the Taylorsville chapter of Lion International. Mr. Latham was born June 30, 1931 in 'Rocklake, North Dakota, was raised in Eugene, Oregon, and in 1955, upon completing a mission for the LDS Church in the Southwest Indian Mission, he moved to Provo where he studied for two years at the BYU. During that time, he married Louise McDonald, of Holladay. In 1957, the Lathams moved to Salt Lake where he completed his undergraduate studies at the Univer sity of Utah. A song by the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Buhley, prayer is the Key to Heaven, remarks by Blaine. A delicious luncheon was Blaine Lee served following the testimonial.
