Appointments were made on June 16 during a mem bership meeting at the home of Mrs. Mack Stocks. Home Show to Open July 3rd Gov. Calvin L. Rampton has Enterprises, Ned Johansen Con- proclaimed the week beginning July 3rd as Home Ownership Week. The week designated in the Governors proclamation coincides with the first week of the Parade of HomesHome Show scheduled for July 3rd through July 18th. Present in the Governors office at the Capitol for the proclama16-da- y tion ceremonies were these officers of the Home Builders Association of Greater Salt Lake: Erwin E. Bohen, president; Harold G. Russell, chairman of the Parade of HomesHome Show; Mrs. M. R. Jensen, first vice president of the womens auxiliary; Daniel R. Jerman, vice president; L. H. Brockbank, secretary-treasurer and Arthur C. King, executive officer. Home Ownership Week" marks the opening of the Parade of HomesHome Show which this year will feature fourteen model homes, each completely different in architectural and interior design and landscaping. The eleven builders represented in the show include: Alan E. Builders, Brockbank, Bel-ABeneficial Homes, Classic Homes, Galaxie Homes, Great American ir struction, Midwest Construction, Progressive Development Corp., Triangle Construction Co., Inc., and Valley Homes, Inc. In addition to the model homes, a large 400-folong exhibition tent will house eighty displays featuring the newest in home building materials, appliances, draperies, carpeting, kitchen cabinets and home accessories. Special events slated for the Parade of HomesHome Show include: professional and public judging of the homes and the booth exhibits with trophies to be awarded during the show, Fiesta Music by strolling musicians each evening and nightfy drawing for two home accessory prizes. On the evening of June 10th Mrs. Homebuilder wil lbe named along with her two attendants. Mrs. Richard Watkins III, Mrs. Utah for 1964, will crown the Home Queen who will then become one of the finalists in the Mrs. Utah contest for 1965. That same evening will mark the award of the first of the two grand prizes, a console color TV set and a stereo sound center console. Jack Turners orchestra will provide music for; ot Plans Jaycee-Ette- s Elder David J. S. Evans Testimonial Honors Elder Evans A Farewell Testimonial in honor of Elder David J. S. Evans, son of Mrs. Gladys Sirrine and the late George A. H. Evans, prior to his departure for the West Spanish American Mission, was held in the Taylorsville 4th Ward Chapel on Sunday, June 27, 1965. Prelude and postlude music was played by Rea and Beverly Rooks, a cousin and an uncle of Elder Evans, the invocation by Martin Evans, a brother. Saturdays freak storms left many residents of the area in strange predicaments.
