Bennion Word ' Evelyn Mackay Frandsen, and her family, had dinner with Harold and Ruth Mackay June 27, before going to a missionary' testimonial held in the Tabernacle. This was a inspirational meeting with 240 missionaries present. The contest was held Saturday, June 26 at 7 p.m. in the Taylorsville Stake House, and was sponsored by the American Dairy Assn, of Utah. Marianne McKay, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. McKay, 2942 Connor Street, was chosen as the new Salt Lake County Dairy Princess, and her attendants were Lyn Poulsen, 17, daughter of r. and Mrs. Ernest A. Poulsen, 7648 Michelle Way, Sandy, and Diane Wood, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Shirley R. Wood, 1440 W. 6235 South, Murray, Utah. Two boys graduated from primary, Kenneth Rowberry and Robert Morrison. Fae Ross, primary president, presented both boys with a Book of Mormon. Sunday, June 27, at sacrament meeting, the speakers were Bishop and Mrs. Bigler. Their subject was starting a dairy herd on the Arabian side of Jerusalem Van-dertool- en Danny Christofferson, son of Jerry and Birdene Christofferson, had his eye injured while playing baseball with the Little League. Farris and Leon? Smith are vacationing in Yellowstone Park. Our Ward Outing was successful and everyone had a real good time, according to Bishop A. LaRue Lunt. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Wilcox are expecting their son Bob and his family from Riverside, California, for a visit. Mac Burton and his wife Clara went to Kanosh, Utah, Wednesday, June 24, for the funeral of Larry George, 9 years old. Larry was a cousin of Clara Burton, and he met with an accident on the highway near his home. During Jhe bad electrical storm Saturday, the light pole in front of Mac Burtons home was hit by lightning. LaVere Clawson, 2260 Saddle Way, received a masters degree in educational psychology at the University of Utah June 12th. He is the son of Edwin and Margaret Clawson, Cache Valley. They lived in Samoa for awhile, before coming into the ' Bennion Second Ward. Lowell and Vera Moore and their family are visiting for 10 days from California. Vera will take their family back to California while Lowell will stay in Salt Lake City to go to school at the University of Utah for the summer.
