Jaycee Jaycee-Mercha- Bowling nt Tourney Enters Final Lap complete This weekend will the big Kearns Bowling Tournament Lanes. Bowlers are come out and win the Jaycee-Mercha- nt at Kearns urged to 24 beautiful prizes and two first place trophies to be awarded. Only nine ladies have entered the tournament thus far, according to Chairman Harry Hudson, and there are 12 prizes for ladies, as well as 12 for the men. Leading name on the board Is Martindale with a 701 series. Jean Lemmons retains her lead over the ladies with a 639. Calabash Cousins Entertain Groups The Calabash Cousins entertained the Murray Joycees at a hayride and square dance, held Nov. 30 at the Mountain Meadow Ranch in Snyderviile. They presented a program to a retarded childrens group last evening, and will entertain at the Christmas party of the Kearns 8th Ward Primary officers and teachers on Dec. 13, with the help of Dave and Delores Rodrigues. Chaplain Speaks At Detention Home Chaplain Dave Rodrigues spoke at the Salt Lake County Juvenile Detention Home last Sunday. He and wife Delores furnished piano and vocal selections to the boys and girls. Harry is doing a great job; running the tournament with the help of Bettie Harrison, secretary, Bob Harrison, and the Kearns Jaycees helping as score keepers. Jerry Kalm, 5271 So. 4620 West, was elected to the position of director, vacated by Mr. Slack. George is a nactive Jaycee, having served with the Kearns Jaycees for three years in the capacity of second and director. He is presently the secretary of the District Jaycees. and has been asked to be on the Community Development Committee for the Town Council. He and his wife, Jackie, have four children, three girls and one boy. George is employed by Hercules Powder Co. as a Data Analysist Regular elections for the Jay ceee will be held next June.
