Granger Lancers along with everyone else, is caught up in the midst of the hustle and bustle of a month filled with memories of holly, Tinsil, parties and a symbolic drive to help the needy familes. The Red Croesi members are planning to decorate the Veterans Hospital and present them with center pieces. A program is being planned at another hospital to be presented and Christmas !, stockings will be distributed at one of the local hospitals. Harvest Ball t The wintery blast of winter and the dismal fg couldnt keep Lancer couples from attending this years Harvest Ball Wednesday evening. Couples danced beneath colors of lavender, pink and gold, and danced to the music of Lou Dixons Orchestra. The Harvest Ball queen was elected by the FHA members. She is lovely Laurel Labrum and her two attendants are Jean and Joan Walton. Refreshments were served in a 6eeting representing a French sidewalk cafe and small pink and lavender ballons adorned the tables. Dolls, Dolls The Girls Teen Association is sponsoring a "Doll Drive. Do you have any dolls that 6ome-.on- e has outgrown or more around than you need? Can you make doll clothes, etc.? Any dolls or doll clothes will be appreciated. The drive has been on since Dec. and will continue 2, through Dec. 13. S3SS3t So look in those spare closets! Some needy little girls will be forever grateful. Thanksgiving Assembly A Thanksgiving assembly was held Wednesday, Nov. 27 and Granger High students were impressed by a very distinguished guest. Dr. Peterson, well known in the Granite School District spoke on Patriotism and also on what we all should be thankful for. We enjoyed hearing him and hope to have him again. The Granger Orchestra played Rhapsody in Blue. They delighted the student body with their beautiful music. Sports The Titans of Olympus came to Grangers home floor to de0 in the opening of' feat us n , the game. Too bad! The new J.V. cheerleaders looked real sharp in their new uniforms along with our classy varsity cheerleaders. They along with the student body yelled themselves hoarse. It was a heatrbreaking loss, but our boys fought all the way. They played a wonderful game and caused a ot of excitement all through the game. The first half was one of the most thrilling games the boys ever played, as they squared off basket for basket and lead the Titans in the first half. Many comments were made after the game praising our boys for their wonderful sportsmanship and even though the Titans were victorious, our boys are. still CHAMPIONS. Favorites Shes a Fool A committee from the Granger Community Council will make an investigation of other swimming pools Saturday in their study of the feasability of a pool for the Granger-Hunte- r community. The Council is still working on planning and zoning for the area, and the study of road conditions and problems is still under investigation by a commit-- , tee. II Bl Jusf in Time for Christmas!
