The loss is the third straight for Westminster and drops them to 4-- 7 for the season. Westminster jumped out to an early 2 lead less than 10 minutes into the game. Pepperdine responded with an 3 run to take control of the game. The home standing Griffins tried to rally late, but couldnt overcome the five goal deficit. Westminster attempted 22 shots in the game and put 20 of them on goal. They collected 32 ground balls and had 12 draw controls. Westminster also forced 19 Pepperdine turnovers while committing just 16 themselves. Kaicee Beal bounced back from her first goalless game on Friday with six goals against Pepperdine on Saturday. Beal scored her six goals on nine shots while collecting three ground balls. Sage West added three goals, six ground balls and three draw controls. Erin Foslid scored one goal with six ground balls and Tattiana Benfield scored the other Griffin goal. Westminster goalie Jessie Mulvey came up with 10 saves. Westminster returns to action on Saturday, April 10 when they face Colorado Mines in Denver, Colorado. Jake Arthur has 14 goals and 19 ground balls while Benjamin Wright has collected a team leading 31 ground balls. Dallas McLellan has a 60.8 save percentage with a goals against average of 9.33.
