Show Climbing This will be a great opportunity for beginner climbers to see what bouldering is all about. As with all competitions this will be about raising the bar for all climbers who are present, says Jones. If this event is a hit we may be seeing a lot more of these popping up over the next few semesters. This has the potential to become a Westminster school sport, said Jones. This competition became a reality because Marvin Seale, director of Fitness, Wellness and Recreation, Continued from Page 3 for this event. Everyone on hand will be able to watch some of the best college climbers in the great state of Utah. Liz Rodgers, ofWestminsters Outdoor Programs, and Jones were talking with the Weber State University outdoor recreation coordinator about starting up intercollegiate climbing competitions. The area surrounding Salt Lake City is as well known for its climbing as it is for its skiing, said Jones. My goal is to get students here at Westminster to become more interested in the sport of climbing. of I f f I 1 i Z t Ik I I i 4 t r 4 0 r vtii ws&s?
