The Forum is a weekly publication that is available in any building on campus. My job over the past two years has been to find out why some people arent picking up a copy of the Forum. As I researched, I found that many people probably werent reading the Forum because either they didnt know about it, they didnt have time to read it or the newspaper wasnt appealing to a large enough demographic. As we enter an age of information overload with new forms of communication thrown at us every day its hard to understand the importance of reading a college newspaper that is only ; J t to implement. Every week, the Forum publishes this blurb: We write letters. Address all letters to: The Forum, Converse 201 at Westminster College 1840 South 1300 East Salt Lake City, UT 84105 or forumwestmin-stercollege.ed- u. Only signed will be accepted for letters publication. The Forum reserves the right to edit all submissions. Views expressed in the Forum are those of the writers, and are not to be considered those of the Forum, ASWC, the faculty, staff or administration. So please, write in and let us know what you like, dislike, etc The Forum is here not as an enemy, but as an ally. In closing, I would like to thank everyone who has helped the Forum in the past few years. I have no doubt in my mind that the Forum will keep gaining respect among its readers and support from the college Being the of the Forum has been a challenging, enlightening experience that I will never forget. editor-in-chi- j Stephen T. The reasons people should read the Forum are A) because the school newspaper is part of Westminsters culture and B) reading the newspaper is another way to get involved and be informed about campus life and history. If you are reading this and saying, I hate our school newspaper our school newspaper needs to be changed, etc, send in a letter to the editor. The editorial staff of the Forum doesnt know what the readers want until they speak up and let us know what they want.
