Show 6 Sun Advocate, Price, Utah Thursday, May 27, 1976 .... .There are many reasons, and we at the College of Eastern Utah feel it's important that you know and understand them. The first and most exciting reason is because of the quality of our academic programs. CEU is highly respected by colleges and universities in Utah. We continue to graduate outstanding students who go on to excel in many areas. For Lynn Felice, I, and Leslie seniors at Carbon High School example: Dr. Reba L. Keele, Director Honors Program BYU. "I felt that my two years at a smaller school of high quality gave me the academic Dr. J. Bert Bunnell, Graduate of MIT; Employed as a biomedical research engineer for Air Products and Chemicals in Allentown, needed. I gained an excellent general education at CEU because of the quality of instruction and small classes. There were many benefits I gained at CEU that I would not have .gained at a larger institution." start Pennsylvania. "After attending the University of Utah and MIT, I must say that I was at CEU. Since the faculty are not preoccupied with their own research they concentrate on teaching. Rarely will you find instructors with the committment to teaching as you do at CEU." well-taug- Williams, ht As you can see, our academic programs and our faculty are exceptional. There are many classes where we follow the same course outline, study the same material, even use the same textbooks as other four-yeuniversities in the, state. But why is CEU good for you? Consider the size of the classes, only 15 students to each teacher. This is the best student-teache- r ratio in the state. Over 65 percent of our instructors hold advanced degrees. That's why our Alumni say, "It was an inspiration to associate with so many great instructors. ar I especially on a one to one basis.. The years spent at CEU were really the most important." We are also excited about the quality of our vocational programs! Why? Because of our fine faculty and our new 2V2 million dollar career center. This new facility, when completed in September 1976, will offer Castle Country and the surrounding area the most vocational complete and programs available. New equipment and materials will enhance the educational opportunities of the people in our area. up-to-da- te Some other important reasons why! 1. Smaller classes less grade competition 2. Easy transfer of credits 3. Modern equipment up-to-da- te 4. Extensive student financial aid programs 5. Meaningful activities extra-curricul- ar 6. A.C.T. recommended but not required 7. Costs of education reasonable and economical 8. Enrichment programs available at our Learning Resource Center Counselor Kent Young, and Carbon High School Senior Tracy Kontgas. Wiy CUP? ...
