People admired the way he stood so straight and tall. They envied his ability as a basketball player and as a fine athlete in the baseball world. Despite the glory he received because of his great ability, he never knew conceit. The task he was doing at the time of his death was typical of the many such tasks he had done before. Carbon mourns at his passing and strives to remember him always. The sympathy of every student at his home school is expressed to those who knew him more intimately than we did. Sympathy will not mend a broken heart or wipe away the so many tears yet to be shed, but it will help to bring comfort to those who were closest to him and who are suffering the greatest loss. The funeral could be termed nothing but beautiful for so many friends filled the hall to pay tribute to him and the life he led. Five months ago we said goodbye to one of his closest friends, and now the task of bidding farewell is again at hand. It seems a bit easier this time, because we know how much those friends loved to be together and now rei- ther of them is alone. To those who remiin behind, his family; Terry, his friend; and Kayrene, his steady girl, we express our deepest sympathy.
