"Toyland was the theme and decoration carried out this idea. Revelers danced under a canopy of silver stars, snow flakes and clouds. The stage was transformed into an attractive toy shop entrance where a colorful pantomine was presented under. the direction of Ramona Hunting-tonPeggy Cottrell and Robert Charlesworth were responsible for the floorshow. The first number was presented by a group of Bee Hive1 girls and Boy Scouts. The next dance was by the MIA maids. The final number was by an allcouple adult roup. Following the foorshow, the MIA Joy award was presented to several girls in recognition of their achievement for the past two yars. Those receiving were Pat Hixon, Julne Bowen, Peggy Cottrell, Bonnie Turner, Phyliss Rock, Ramona Huntington, Virginia Yelonek, JoAnn McKean, J - for top notch body repairs, paint jobs. During the year there were 632 babies bom at the hospital, 335 boys and 297 girls. This was just the reverse of the year before when 620 babies were bom 306 boys and 314 girls. September was the best month for the baby crop. During that period 66 were born, 35 boys and 31 girls. May and November came in with close seconds, each month produced 64 babies. In May 40 were boys and 24 girls and in November 34 were boys and 30 girls. June also was in the over 60 bracket with 62 births, 29 boys and 33 girls. The other months showed the records: following production January, 40, 20 boys and 14 girls; February 44, 19 boys and 25 girls; March, 44, 27 boys and 17 girls; April, 39, 21 boys and 18 girls; July, '51, 26 boys and 25 girls; August, 50, 24 boys and 26 girls; October, 58, 29 boys and 29 girls; and December, 50, with another tie score score, 25 boys and 25 girls.
