Show THE Page Six SUN-ADVOCA- 31, 1957 Thursday, January The Truth and Your Freedom (Note : This is one in a series of articles designed to help you face the eternal truth and profit by it'. For that reason I believe you will read the article.) Until you know the truth for yourself, you are bound in the most dense and fatal ignorance God has made known His ways. The Bible tells us. No prophecy of the Scripture is of private interpretation. (2 Peter 1: 20). No preacher, pope, bishop, or council has a right to do your thinking and interpreting for you. Instead, we read : But if any of you lack-et- h wisdom, let his ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and not; and it shall be given him. (James 1:5). The same God who said: Come now and let us rescue together " (Isaiah 1:18) will not disappoint the earnest soul who searches for the truth in Gods Holy Word, the Bible. If the one who is supposed to teach you the truth does not take the words of the Bible as the final authority of his teachings, avoid him, for he is inspired of the Devil to seek the destruction of your sou. Jesus once said: Search the Jesus once said : "And ye shall the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32). The emphasis is placed upon knowing the truth. It is not enough to be associated with some religious group which claims to have the truth; nor is it enough to have in your family those who appear to know the truth; nor will it suffice to have in the house or about you any number of Bibles. Scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life, and they are they which testify of me (John 5:39). In another place we read that the Scriptures are able to PARTY HONORS YOUNGSTER make one wise unto salvation (2 Cute Jackie Spigarelli was guest of honor at a birthday party given Timothy 3:15).
