Savings Stamp Program in School Th U. S. savings stamp program is again being heartily supported by the students of the Kenilworth elementary school. Seven hundred, dollars have been collcted from the youngsters since the beginning of .stamp day" at the opening of the school term. Each Thursday the 'stamps are offered for sale in the different rooms. The children, dearly all of whom participate, are eager to fill the pages of their stamp books. When a book is filled and turned in on a bond, a certificate' is awarded to the young bond owner. Last year the school children total enrollment 99) invested well over a thousand dolars for stamps. Charlie was born and reared in Kenilworth with the exception of a few years spent with his family in Castle Gate and Hiawatha. He worked on the tipple as a dumper and a shovel operator for awhile before taking a position at Hill Field as a federal patrolman. In 1942 he returned to Kenilworth and went into the mine as a mechanic. He has been a mechanic for seventeen years. Ilis mining experience was interrupted for a few months in 1951 when he moved his family to Salt Lake City for the express purpose of caring for an ageing father.
