Show NUPTIALS HARMON-ROC- PERFORMED AT SUNNYSIDE Terry Philip Harmon a.nd Miss e LaVone Rock were united in in impressive nuptial rites performed by President Elton L. Taylor Friday, May 11, at 7 p.m. in the Sunnyside LDS chapel. The bride is the daughter of mar-iag- Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Rock of Sunnyside and Mr. and Mrs. Brig Harmon of Price are the parents of the groom. Ascending the aisle on the arm of her father, the stately bride was lovely in an original gown of imported French lace over satin. Designed by the mther of the groom, the dress featured a floor length skirt over hoops, topped by a fitted bodice with long pointed sleeves and an interesting scalloped boat neckline embroidered and with sequins, rhinestones pearls. An elbow length veil was held by a tiara of sequins and pearls and yellow and white roses formed the bridal bouquet. The couple stood before tall graduated standards holding white candles to repeat their promises. Bouquets of bridal wreath and lilacs formed a floral background. Wedding music was played by Mrs. Stella Liddiard. Mrs. Steven Worthington, dres sed in yellow organza over taffeta, attended her sister as matron of honor. Miss Phyllis Rock, another sister, and Miss Sondra Harmon, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids. They wore identical dresses in green organza. Each of the FIRST LADY HONORED LADY LIONS HAVE MOTHER'S DAY PROGRAM AT SORORITY TEA A beautifully appointed tea honored Mrs. .Irene Drossis, newly chosen First Lady of Price, at the Carbon College library Friday evening, May 18. The tea is an annual event of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority to honor a woman of the community chosen for outstanding contributions to her town and family. Mothers of the club members are also honored at the tea. The program was begun by Mary Delpha singing "The Lords Donna Shimmin welPrayer. comed the large crowd and a chorus led by Denice Mclntire, accompanied by Jeannine Campbell, sang "My Mom. Flowers were presented to the mothers of the members and Faye Johnson gave a tribute to mothers. Jimmie Menzies played a trombone solo and Mrs. Omar Bunnell made the presentation of the First Lady for 1956. Mrs. Drossis was given a lovely bouquet of yellow roses and received congratulations from the group. Refreshments were served by club members with Mrs. Bun nell and Mrs. Shimmin presiding at the table. A huge centerpiece of gladioli on a cut work cloth decorated the table, a bouquet of carnations was placed on the piano and baskets of bridal wreath and iris were placed throughout the room. Benediction was given by Father Pelligrino.
