H. 2-Y- THE BOURBON BUY 50 I 54 TBS CENTURY GREAT STRAIGHT BOURBO- N- Four-- worth while was the general impression left by the achievement exercises last Thursday evening, November 4, when 600 members received awards for the work they had accomplished during the 1954 season, and many were honored individually for outstanding achievement. They were praised for their achievements by Key Banker Garth Larsen of Price, County Commissioner Jesse Bryan of Price, and Businessman Lieb Miller, Price, representing the large commercial companies who sponsor throughout the nation. Two state winners in the national contests were announced and awarded trips to Chicago. Frank Blackham of Spring Glen won his in Gardens and will be H is 4-- H H 4-- H sponsored on the trip by the Allis-Chalme- rs company. He was out of town, however, and could not be present when he wasjiamed. Miss Jeanne Passey of Price won her trip in Recreation and Rural Arts and will be sponsored by the U. S. Rubber company. Though she is at present attending the Brigham Young University, she was present to receive this honor, and expressed appreciation for the help had been to her. The two winners will leave the day after Thanksgiving with 16 other contest winners from the state of Utah by train and attend the 33rd National Club Congress in Chicago. They will return about two weeks later. Two awards were made by the Danfourth Foundation of St. Louis, Missouri, for the most foursquare boy and the most foursquare gibl in the county.
