Show THE Page Four yer Parade Will UsEier in Thursday, May 29, 1952 SUN-ADVOCA- Tie RORT Little League Here Monday Service Cleaners Little League baseball play will get under way in Price on Mon-d- ay to with a big double-head- er lead off the bill, it has been announced by Commissioner Harold Patterick. To get the teams and the fans in the proper mood, a parade will be staged Monday starting at 3:00 p.m. A band will lead the uniformed playing participants along Main street, west to east and thence to the Little League ball field in the city park. After a brief ceremony, Perry Codington, president of the Price Kiwanis club, will throw in the first ball and the season will open with the Elks swapping talents with the Kiwanis. This game will be followed by the Bunnell-Seven-U- p contest. The Helper Little League got under way last Saturday with the Mutual Furniture and the Kiwanis Club teams coming out on the long end over their respective op newly-construct- ed ponents. The Furniture lads beat the Helper Mercantile team by a score of 11-- 0 while the Kiwanis team took the measure of the Helper Furniture nine by a 2 count. There will be no Sunday games in the Price league and that day will be used to play off any make up games that may become necessary throughout the season. Sammy Fratto was the star of the game as he held the Bees to only five hits. He pitched shutout ball until the fifth frame when he eased up and Holmand touched him for a triple. In the 'seventh frame, Fratto was replaced by Don Giordano who gave the Bees their biggest inning in which they scored three runs, two hits and an error. Fratto was put back on the mound in the eighth to finish the game and was touched for a tyiple in the ninth by Phil Oy-l- er for the fourth Bee run.
