All of these programs are resources to our own facility, the West Millard Care Center. The facility is centrally located in Delta across the street from the Delta Sands Apartments and the M.E. Bird Senior Citizen Center. We are a Intermediate Nursing Facility owned by Millard County and by Intermountain Health Care, Inc. We have been . an independently standing since 1985 when the Delta Community Medical Center was completed at its present location. We have a facility health, discharge planning, services for the hearing impaired, social services, dietary, pharmacy, lab, xray, and emergency inpatient services, medical records and visiting physician services. We offer a wide range of activities to our residents while individually assessing their needs and abilities. We have an active recreational program under an excellent TRT and her volunteers. have They many enjoyable activities over the years. For two years in a row we entered a group exhibit in the Millard County Fair, and one year we organized received the Sweepstakes Award plus several individual first place awards. Other activities include our annual Mother's Day Program and Resident Christmas Program which are well attended and provide resident involvment and Cosmetology students. The M.E. Bird Senior Citizen Center provides a bus and driver weekly for "van rides". Many trips are taken around the county to view sites of interest that evoke nostalgia for the residents. Other activities include quilting; bingo, crafts, cooking, participation.
