Mellor, daughter of Scott and Mindy Mellor was baptized Saturday .March 27, 1993 by her father and was confirmed Sunday by her father. Helping make her day special were here family, sisters Michelle, Charee, and brothers Randy and Calib. Her grandfather Roger Mellor of Orem and grandparents Ned and William Christensen of Moroni. Also uncles, aunts and cousins. A family dinner was enjoyed by the family members at the Mellor home. Over night guest S unday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Bartholomew were their son S teven and Wife Gene and children of Cedar. Lucille Robins of Sandy spent last week with her parents Virgil and Elda Christensen. Their son Weldon of Salt Lake joined them for the weekend. Tren t and Danni Taylor of Georgia spent last week with their parents Roland and Julia Christensen. Sheldon Mellor of Las Vegas enjoyed the weekend in Fayette. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bartholomew were overnight guests last Wednesday night at their son Claytons home in Orem and enjoyed visiting with Clayton and Terri and sons. They stayed Thursday night in Ogden and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Rick Dove and family. Mr. and Mrs. Tammy Johnson 528-793- family with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lyman. Visiting last week with Cecil and Loma Bown were their sons Kenneth and Clark and Clarks friend Elise Fowers of Logan. Amber and Cody Bown, children of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Bown of Springville also enjoyed visiting with their grandparents. Spending the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Harrop were Dave and Candy Meade and son of Provo. Carl and Margaret Jensen are proud to announce the arrival of theirnew son born March 15, 1993. He will be given the name George Alexander. He was welcomed home by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Mother and son are doing well. Bart and Sunnie Brown attended the ribbon cutting ceremony and reception at the Museum of Church History and Art for an exhibit celebrating the centennial of the Salt Lake Temple. Barts grandparents were honored guests being one of the longest married couples. They were married at the SL T emple in 1919. She was bom May 13, 1904 in Centerfield, Utah to Peter Christian and Tommina Anderson Jensen. She graduated from school in Centerfield. Redmond Ward Varsity Scouts take honors The Redmond Ward Varsity Scouts participated in the Fishlake District Varsity Scout Basketball Tournament the past two weekends. Twenty teams participated from Wayne, Monroe, Richfield East, Richfield and Salina Stakes. The Redmond team played four games. The final game was Saturday afternoon at the North Sevier Middle School Gym, against Richfield 5th Ward. It was a challenging game, but Redmond again came out the vic Evelyn Kiesel - 2 Those delicious Girl Scout Cookies will be on sale Lifelong Salina resident Brice Oscar Anderson, 80, died at Utah divorced. Education was an important part of his life and he graduated from Utah State University. He served his country with honor from 1942 to 1946 in various theatres in Europe. He was discharged as a First Lieutenant with full honors and many decorations. He worked as a postal employee until he retired after twenty-thre- e years. His interest in farming kept him extremely busy. Survivors include his many loved ones: Sons and daughters, Susan Anderson, Salt Lake City; Eric Anderson, Salina; Chris L. Anderson, Las Vegas; Phyllis Sharpies, Salt Lake City; Kelvin Anderson, Salina; Becky Tillson, Salt Lake City; John 0. Anderson, Spanish Fork; 24 grandchildren, one Sister, Helen Stewart, Salt Lake City; Sister, Vivian. The infant son of Curtis and Debra Peterson was given the name of Braden Lee Peterson by his grandfather, Dave Peterson. Also in attendance to make this a special day for the Petersons was Daves father and mother, his sister and her daughter, their other two sons, Jeff and Mike, and Debras parents and sister.
