This has caused acceler ated runoff, gullying of roadways, breaking up water lines, and harrassment of wildlife. Mt Students of the Week ;! October 12 marks the beginning of what will be the most regulated waterfowl hunt in Utahs history. Prolonged drought on Canadian breeding grounds has resulted in tar below average populations of mallard and pintail ducks. Biologists estimate numbers at 40 percent below the 30 year average. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Utah DWR have responded by restricting harvest on these species to protect the hens and boost breeding population. The waterfowl hunters daily bag limit will be five ducks, but no more than one may be a hen mallard, and no more than one may be hen pintail. Hunters may take drakes with no restrictions. The restriction on redheads and canvasbacks remains in effect this year - two r k( Uuk HJm i.k 71 'A NSHS Wolf Tales g Ufa klitiie H HcxnrrominftWrrk with lau t4 fun ihit-11 U lh faculty and ilutlmc who worked U make il hf'prn, ihe Biology and An !tk 4 Irani .ifmu'.jjhria f,VJ tn fiutiH nd 11. tr JJ 3 tftrl ff 21 t,l ft, 1111 tfa.iif ia il fUK iKt u fkjt'l- kl Uw f.l (4 U fcc kkufc ile Wkk lilt J.kfif f illi It arkuit 4 (1 .k,ic4, tigf 1c H U arUua f MulJ lr Jitihil, te 41 Utie IVe Uic ivh m 1. 1 J ,4 Ukt kikCVki I ti4 1!,H Uie lime t ti UU'J j (4 lie ftt.e t4 lut fwuldal ak'fi lb fell f nil itf ia I lN C)Ullil lit i.i i,a u.iw J1 ,im .if, Ua I. id 1 j a ( - i j l.1c till, Uir MmIvt j t .1, Ui tl im frum 33 lt kreevd utal Jf4 Li Uitr tid f4 M a run, bl.6 t flRST tOliS Vvt-r-- k I a an I lis, i Hurt .fciTL' if!t like rut.u.1 i.i i,.t. ,,, it. f ikit I W 1irl ir hj uw4 4ui ke4 U Ui J s ra !
