The Freemans are former residents of Aurora, and Linda has been attending BYU this past week taking courses to recertify as a teacher Another daughter of Mr. and Mrs Heagle and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reeves of La Verne, California visited with them over the weekend and left four of their five children, Kelly, Richard, Larry, and Kimber w ith the Heagles while they went to the Bahamas on a business trip Their grandchildren will be staying with them for a week. Fern Shaw celebrated her birthday last Sunday and family members gathering to help her celebrate were: Judy Meyer and daughters. Kod and Cassidy, all of Aurora Eugene D Anderson w as hospitalized recently in the 1niversity of I'lah Medical Center in Salt laike City with infection in his leg and his brother, Darw in Anderson brought him home on Friday The family home evening club consisting of sixteen women held their club on Monday, June 24th at the home of Connie Sorensen. They enjoyed exchanging lesson materials that they had made during the last few weeks on the subject of the pioneers and discussed their summer projects of stones with finger puppets, which will be due in September when they meet again Ray Bennett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bennett, was released from the Sevier Valley Hospital on Tuesday and is home doing well. Dawn Montgomery returned home on Saturday after spending a week in Las Vegas, Nevada visiting with her sister, Kay Leigh. Mrs. Lamar McBride and her two girls, Maradee and Meagan, along with her sister, Jean Miller and her daughter, Kara of Richfield, traveled to Berley, Idaho over the weekend to attend the Allen . Family-Reunion- Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Barney and Mr. and Mrs. Verr Durfee enjoyed going to the Blackhawk Encampment in Lehi this past week. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Barney over the weekend was Lylas sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Spencer, Caldwell, Idaho. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Vest and family this past week was their niece, Amy Westover, daughter of Mrs. Cherra Lyn Westover of Mapleton. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Yardley and boys, Mr. and Mrs. Robin Johnson of Salina and Carolyn Jensen of Salina all enjoyed a trip to Lake Powell this past week where they waterskied and enjoyed seeing Glen Canyon Dam. A bridal shower for Laura Crabb of Elsinore was given by Mrs. Shane Huntsman and Mrs. Lynn Huntsman on Friday evening, June 28th at the home of Mrs. Shane Huntsman. Fifteen guests were in attendance to an evening of games, unwrapping of many nice gifts and a delicious plate of refreshments. The Aurora First Ward and the Aurora Second Ward Beehive Young Women recently enjoyed attending a Youth Conference in Provo, where they visited BYU, listened to a special speaker at the Provo Temple grounds, toured the Missionary Training Center and saw a live reptile show at the Bean Museum. Those in the first ward attending were: Jodi Shaw, Mary Malley, Crissdy Peterson, Rochelle Martin, Jamie Huntsman, Lisa Krysten, Robyn Huntsman and their teacher, Tami Harrison. Girls attending from the Aurora Second Ward were: Mary Bagley, Jennifer Spainhower, Kimberly Fillmore, Erenda Roper, Cassidy Hansen and their teacher, Linda Orso. Six couples enjoyed a dinner of meat and potluck salads. The second annual Aurora City Farm team baseball tournament was held at the park this weekend. Winners in the boys team were the Red team coached by Mel Yardley and Jerry Deaton.
