Recently a contest was held to choose names for the city's two parks. Jeremy Peterson picked the name. "Ephraim Family Park" w hich is located on 300 North and 200 East, and Carl Lohrengel picked the name. "Heritage Park" for the park located behind the library. Each of the boys received a $23 cash award from contest chairman Louise Stubbs. Heritage Park offers a quiet retreat to those who want an afternoon or evening barbecue. The Thursday. July 4 events will open at 6:30 with a Rotary Club breakfast at Heritage Park and a flag raising at the City Hall. From 9:30 until noon, kids games will be held in the family park. There will be a pie eating contest, hamburgers, hot dogs and snow cones. At 5 p m. the city is planning a parade featuring entries from throughout the area. At 6 p.m. is the popular "Anything Goes" which features a number of team events.
