Several new families built homes in Wales in the late 1970s and the town recently updated its water system. Wales Reservoir, built in 1898, is located northeast of the city. j j J : I "j Fayette FAYETTE was named for Fayette, Seneca County, New York, where the LDS Church was organized. It was called Warm Creek when it was settled in 1861. Indianola was settled in 1871.
