The grand prize went to Jonathan and Bryan Mason for their 'This is the Place Monument float. The prize for the Best Float went to Jared, Bonnie and Debra Johnson. The Best Bike award went to Justin Mason. Hie Most Commical award was won by Dustin, Cody and Casey Mickelsen. The Most Pioneer Spirit was won by Brenda and Janell Coates. Following the parade there was a program held at the park. The Primary children sang songs, an band performed, with Alta Cowley, Gladys Johnson, Roberta Curtis, Wanda Mary Curtis, Mary Ann Hatch, Thora Ottley and 11a Willden singing, Dear Hearts and Gentle People. The Sunshine Cloggers performed, with Mary Ann Hatch, Thora Ottley, Yvonne Ottley, Jeannie Ottley, Jennifer Spainhower, Cami Hatch and Diane Watts. Len and Nicole Rawlings from Green Rivery, WY, have been spending the week with Alm0 and Aldara Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Winkel of Freemont, CA and their grandchildren, Melissa Peterson and Rebecca Trythall are visiting the Lost Creek Ranch and relatives in the area. Diana Boyack has been visiting family in Phoenix, AZ. Scott and Lynda Tucker and family, of West Valley City, have been visiting Chris and Karla Fillmore. Chris niece, Andrea Fillmore, has also been visiting. Deanna Taylor has been visiting per parents in Pleasant Grove.l Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shaw and family have been visiting Gena and Leo Shaw. The Sheppard Famiy Reunion was held July 26, 27, and 28th at Fish Lake. Returning home Saturday from the reunion on his motorcycle, Ferald Mason, and his two sons, Jonathan and Bryan broke down. They were finally found Sunday morning at 1 a.m. Kerri Jackmans Mission Farewell was held July 29th in the Aurora 2nd Ward. Kerri will be going to the Phillippine Cebu Mission. He leaves for the mission home August 9th. Speakers for the farewell were Kerris parents Ferron and Gaydra Jackman, 1, 1984 Salina numbers were performed by Kim Forsyth, Ann Strebe, Joey Hunt, Kym DyKam and Paula Hansen, accompanied by Paul Hansen, flute, and Sharlene Hunt, piano. A new Relief Society Presidency was sustained in the Second Ward including Leisa Deaton, president; Kay Taylor, first counselor; Carol Lee Johnson, second counselor. Alta Cowleys sister, Rosalie Swanson, from Susanville, CA has been visiting. Also visiting is Altas uncle, Raymond Spencer and his wife, Myrtle, and their granddaughter, Mindy Hastings, from Caldwell, Idaho. The first ward Cub Scout Pack Meeting was held Monday at the Salina Swimming Pool. Danny and Gaylene Rasmussen and family, and Robby and Janice Pierce of Redmond, enjoyed relaxing and fishing at Otter Creek Reservoir last week.
