It was reported that the dog ordinance and the en- croachment ordinance have been passed and have been posted in public places for all towns people to review. The encroachment ordinance has to do with parking machinery or other types of vehicles on city property. If you do this you will be asked to move them on to your own property. The dog ordinance has to do with licensing your dog. These licenses can be picked up at Darrell Nicklaisens at the cost of $5 per year for unspayed female dogs and $2 per year for male and spayed female dogs. The ordinance states that if you have a dog that runs at night it will be picked up and , impounded, licensed or not. These wille kept for not more than 72 hours. If you dont pick them up in this period, they will either be sold or disposed of humane way. in a parents of elementary age children are invited to attend the night at the local school. A spokesman for the event asked that at least one parent of each family be present for this meeting. You will also have the chance to join the PTA on this night, if you are not already a member. The cost is just $1 and it is well worth this small amount. Lloyd and Faye Johnsen from Eugene, Ore. and Sadie and Bill Hackwell from Canada have been here visiting with Lloyds parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Johnsen. They also visited with Fayes sister while here, and attended a temple session with them. The Hackwells are Fayes parents. They had a very nice visit and enjoyed their stay. Kenny Johnsen was honored at his farewell testimonial this past Sunday. Many family and friends attended the church services and then met at his parents home afterward. He will be leaving for the Swedish Mission shortly. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Johnsen. Blackhams go to 50th reunion family from Tremonton. Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Black-haaccompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ross Coombs, Honeyville, attended the smorgasbord which was held at Andys Smorgasbord in Salt Lake. Rupert and Ross were the members of the class. The group spent the evening recalling fun times and events and seeing pictures of their families. Mrs. Keith Bolingbroke, and Mrs. James Hold-awadrove to Pocatello last Thursday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Boes and family. Mrs. J.E. Scheib came from Pocatello last weekend to visit with Artel and with Mrs. John Fryer at Mountainview Nursing home in Tremonton. y Lunch Together Mrs. Ted Nielsen drove to the home of her mother, Mrs. A.W. Burns in Bountiful Monday. Her sisters, Mrs. Dave Thomas, Garland, Mrs. Lueen Christensen and Mrs. Nelda Garner, also of Bountiful, joined with them for lunch together. Mrs. Bill Smith and children came from Brigham City, Sunday, to be dinner guests of Mrs. Ted Nielsen. Ladies of the Birthday club met Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Floyd Gardner. There were no birthdays for this month but they enjoyed being together, having luncheon and handwork and visiting throughout the afternoon. Those attending were Mrs. Horace Gardner, Mrs. Clarence Fryer, Mrs. Horace Barnard, Mrs. Dewey Gardner, Mrs. Marvin Dustman, Mrs. Wallace James, Mrs. Mel Burbank, Mrs. Jess Earl and Mrs. Roy Hyatt. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Lish were happy to have family members visit with them during the past weekend. Les Fryer left by plane Saturday for a two weeks vacation in the Pacific Northwest. He will be visiting friends and relatives in Seattle, Bremerton, Olympia, Tacoma, Omak and Spokane before returning. Mrs. Ted Nielsen met with a group of ladies at the home of Mrs. Kitty Minson in Garland, Thursday. The ladies enjoyed playing pinochle together. accepts post State university, receiving a bachelors degree in 1969, and a master of business administration in 1970. His wife is the former Sandra Hansen of Preston, Idaho. They are the parents of three children: Brandon, 6; Brady, 4; and Robyn, V2. Kerr will assume his new assignment the latter part of September. Elder John w ill report his mission Oct. 2 at Portage ward at 6 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Devere Harris visited from Saturday until Wednesday in Sacramento, Calif., with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harris and family. Brigham City area senior citizens will have an opportunity Friday to hear a city library spokesman. This will come after the seniors weekly luncheon at the community center. Mary Hansen will tell of the things available at the library of particular interest to seniors, supplementing the remarks by showing a film. Erma Barfuss is in charge of the luncheon preparation. The menu will include braised beef cubes on noodles, corn on the cob, fresh tomatoe, hot rolls and pudding. There will be the regular noon luncheon on Tuesday at the center with bingo to be played after. A square dance will be held Monday night. On Monday morning at 10 a.m., an oil painting class is held under the direction of Colleen Bradford and Viola Hansen. Reserve your Tuesdays and Thursdays for ceramics. Prayers were offered by Regional Representative Devere Harris and Barry Parkinson. Elder J. Neal John returned to his home Saturday after serving a two year mission for the LDS church in the Texas-Dalla- s mission. He was met at the Salt Lake City airport by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Wynn John and their entire family except Mr. and Mrs. W. Wynn John and family of East Wind-son- , N. J. Mr. Kerr will bring to the hospital a management philosophy that is consistant with the goals of the governing board and those of I.H.C. Beck said. Kerr, formerly of Tremonton, has been assistant administrator at the Logan hospital, Logan, which is also a member of the Intermountain Health Care System. He replaces Richard McDermott who has accepted a financial directorship with a Provo, research firm.
