Presently, only outpatient services with some emergency services and limited facilities in Logan plus some limited service to schools are ottered. The difference should be dramatic. There are things right now that we cant even deal with because we dont have the staff and we dont have the facilities. There are presently a number of persons who need to be referred out of the area because we dont have the facilities or personnel to treat but who will be kept here - s under the new program. We have patients right now at the Utah State hospital who are waiting to come back to their home area to be closer to their families, Dr. Janiak said. It will make it much easier for them to get back to a more normal life in the community and be less costly to the tax payers, she added. Some $308,738 is budgeted for the first half year of the comprehensive program which will place it on a fiscal year basis. The first full years amount is $636,001 with Uncle Sam paying $325,168, the state, $336,179 and counties, $22,154.
