If your child becomes listless, complains of always being tired and is losing weight you should consult your doctor as soon as possible. This advice was given by Mrs. Carl Robert (Darla Stocks) Wheeler of 997 Lombardy in Brigham City. The Wheelers are parents of two daughters and three sons Marcia, 16; Robert, IS; Toni Lee, 14; Stacy, 10, and Blake, 5. When Marcia was 11 she complained of the above symptoms and it was then the doctors confirmed the Wheelers suspicions that Marcia was a diabetic. "Marcia leads an active life Darla said. She is involved in many school activities, has worked at fruit stands, dates, has a good attendance at church, etc. We think she handles it very well. Colds are much more severe on those having diabetes and it is necessary to go to your physician for regular checkups. The prime target for diabetics are the eyes which must be watched carefully. Insulin must be taken everyday. es Items From Blocks Marie Crossman of Blocks has been assisting a number of Newcomers club members in selection of just-rigfashions for the season, as well as helping teens and children to find styles for modeling from the stores youth department. fashions from Modeling Block's will be Sharon Miller, Marjorie Allen, Marianne . ht merman, Pam Miller, John Fleming, Denise Miller and Homesewn styles There will also be a place for homesewn fashions to be reviewed, with comments on fa- fashions from Block's at Newcomers fashion show are Arlene Edwards black polyester jumpsuit edged in variegated ribbon trim and Liz Baumgartner in a cranberry colored version of the gaucho pant with matching blazer and coordinated cowl collar blouse, as fashion coordinator Marie Crossman assists in choosing accessories for the outfits. after-fiv- e ever-popul- ar Party Line By Ruth Phone mmtio The pleasantest things in the world are pleasant thoughts, and the greatest art in life is to have as many of them as Foster. possible. Ive been sitting here this morning at my typewriter trying to get an inspiration to get Party Line rolling for today. Fosters words came to me. How can we help but have pleasant thoughts with all the pleasant things we have going for us? The weather is beauti-- ' ful, no more eleciton speeches. Thanksgiving is just around the corner, I have two presents bought for Christmas and in general things look pretty good. We were out riding Sunday and if you havent noticed now beautiful the sycamore trees iJ. are on Main street youd better go and see. I cant ever remember them that pretty. Even our bridal wreath bushes in the backyard are different than in other years. Maybe its something in the air (no rain), thats making the leaves so colorful. Im sure if you look around you theres plenty to make you have nice thoughts. Its that time of year when we should start being thankful for things. The things we didnt get as well as those we did. Now if youll pull up that old easy chair Party Line will give you some more pheasant thoughts to light up your day, all about whats been going on around town. Take Trip Just back from a fabulous tour of the MediterranHoly Land are three Brigham City couples and a former Brigham City couple of 16-d- ean and Mesa, Ariz., Mr. ft Mrs. Arnold Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Vem Petersen, and Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hillam flew with a group of 400 on a 747 to Athens, Greece where they joined a group of 200 which included Mr. and Mrs. Theron Lee of Mesa, Ariz. They boarded the Greek liner Atlas for the trip. The tour was sponsored by the BYU with Dr. Cleon Skousen, Dr. Gunn, Dr. Ludlow, Dr. Goodwin and Elaine Cannon of the BYU as guides. They toured Egypt, Israel, Turkey and Greece, staying on the ship at night and stopping at the various ports during the day then traveling by bus to their destinations. The exciting historical and biblical tour took them across the Nile river and among the Pyramids. They all got a ride a camel in Egypt. In Israel they saw the Sea of Galilee and dipped their hands in its water. They saw the Plains of Jericho and traveled down the Jordan river and had a chance to wade in it. They looked down on the ancient city of Jericho which is being excavated from where it has lain buried for so many years. They followed the Jordan river to the Dead Sea then traveled to Bethany and over the hills to Jerusalem. They visited many places famous in Bible hitory including the Garden of Gethesemane and Tomb Garden and saw the Old Jerusalem Wall and Wailing Wall. They visited the island of Cypress and interesting sites in Turkey. They saw so many things it was hard for Mrs. Hall to select the most interesting when I called her unexpectedly Tuesday. I could tell when I talked with her it had been a very moving, awesome experience to travel those ancient streets and see those far away places they had read about in Bible history. Going back to Athens they boarded the huge jetliner for home stopping in Ireland to refuel and spend an hour..
