Listen in on KBUH at 8:30 a.m. The Civic and Home Art club held its annual Mother'i day luncheon at the community center in the library basement Thursday evening. Hostesses were Mrs. Shirley Josephson, Mrs. Darlene Wise, Mrs. Paula Munns and Mrs. Marie Crook. Mrs. Charlotte Reeder conducted a short business meeting prior to the program presentation. The guest speaker was Blanche Sheffield of Provo who gave an informative discussion on "Famous Women During the Bicentennial Period, and their contributions to history assisting their husbands. The installation banquet is scheduled for June 10. New officers who will be installed are Mrs. Ruth Shumway, president; Mrs. Sue Munns, vice president; Mrs. Rolaine Jensen, secretary; Mrs. Jo Ann Wood, , historian; Mrs. Norma Holmgren, treasurer. Retiring officers are Mrs. Charlotte Reeder, Mrs. Janet May, Mrs. Gloria Nelson, Mrs. Paula Munns and Mrs. Judy Bowcutt. Thursday evening Mrs. Ruth Shumway and son Eric attended a wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Mark (Susan Berrett) Wilcox held in the Ernest L. WUkenson center Skyroom on the Brigham Young university campus in Provo. Mark is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wilcox (Dale is a former resident of Fielding) and the bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Berrett of Orem. The young couple were married in the Provo Temple Thursday morning. He replaces William Ostenson, Seminary teacher, who has moved to Provo where he will attend Brigham Young university to complete his masters degree. Garland Elementary . The school presented a Bicentennial program Thursday portraying in song and dance the history of our country from Elaine Wamsley wrote the script. Music was under the direction of Sharon Nelson. All faculty members assisted their students in the programs presented. Houseguests at the home of President and Mrs. James White and family Saturday and Sunday were Mr. . and Mrs. Valdo Benson of Preston. Davis and Mrs. Margaret Fry, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Davis and family visited Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Daviss daughter, Mrs. Ruby Sims who is receiving medical care in the McKay hospital in Ogden. Mrs. Hazel Rose accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rose and family of Brigham City attended a John Buttars family reunion held in the Clarkston ward cultural hall Saturday. Our Sunday services are held at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., with everybody welcome. Classes for children of preschool age and through the fifth grade are held during the morning sermontime. We will surely miss him in our community. Four boys from Bear River City were in an accident on Tuesday night west of town. They were Dean Childs, Rex Huggins, Tim Frost and Ronny Hansen. The Bear River Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers held their monthly meeting at the home of Helen Peterson. of the meeting was Wanda Johnson. The lesson was given by Lulu R. They then drove to Redding, Calif, to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Dale Bryant. They stayed for 10 days and had a real fun time.
