He was a special friend and will be missed by all. The Maggie Jensen Ipsen family met Saturday afternoon at her home. There were 65 members able to attend. A potluck lunch was served. It consisted of salads, potato chips and cake. Several of the young men cooked hamburgers for the group. The time was spent mostly getting reacquainted with each other. Several members of the branch attended stake conference Sunday. It was an inspiring meeting. We were urged to seek the best things. After conference, Leo and myself traveled to Grace, Idaho. We visited for a few hours with the Duane Bitton family. The west and east side of the south end of the Promontory peninsula is a black and barren area. The reason is two lightning caused fires which raged out of control for several days. The first fire burned several hundred acres on the west side earlier during the month of August. The fire of last week burned several thousand acres. It was officially declared out at 6 p.m. Monday evening. Several fire fighting units were called out to help control the fire. A fire guard was dozed from the main road to the top of Whitaker Pass. Then a back fire started to help contain the fire. The original fire burned itself out mostly. The land destroyed was grazeland and cover for wild animals. A fire of unknown cause burned an acre of grass west of the road by Thiokol Ranch, Friday afternoon. It was quickly controlled by the Thiokol fire de- partment. 1232 OZ. WELCHS mm u 728 OZ. DEL MONTE TOMATG V-- 8 46 oz. - JUICIE 2410 oz. CAMELOT PEAS 2410 oz.
