The total cost is estimated at $959,000, of which the federal contribution will be about $494,000. Sawyer also has several other paintings with historical settings, including one of the old Hotel Stevell along the Idaho border. The community has benefited from the graphic talents of Clix Byrne in other local exhibits, and he has several portraits among his present collection. One outstanding piece is entitled "Milk Can" and is right y y since 1965, he is currently serving as vice president of that organization. He has been a member of the Golden Spike Reenactment cast as Promontory since the centennial in 1969. Huchel is currently employed at the LDS Church Translation department. The scholarship will be awarded annually by a member of the board of the traffic survival school at the graduation ceremonies of the high school. Qualifying criteria for selection of a recipient has been by the survival school council, said Stoker. Chinese Technique BIG SEE - Grant ground work laid The wheels are in motion to award a $1,000 scholarship to a Bear River High school senior in memory of Glen Goss of Tremonton who was killed aiding a Nevada Highway patrolmen last month. Doug Stoker, former Brigham now assistant City resident director of the Nevada State Department of Education, was in Brigham City last week to lay groundwork for awarding the grant. Stoker said the Clark County Traffic Survival school has established $1,000 scholarship to honor the courage and devotion displayed by Glen Goss for his fellowmen. The scholarship will be placed at Tremonton at Bear River High to be awarded to the man or woman who displays and lives a life that characterizes those qualities that Mr. Goss action and life style portrayed, he added.
