More than 161 children and adults were on hand when special guest, Roscoe Grover n Uncle Roscoe of the radio and television fame entertained. Uncle Roscoe, a talented yarn, made circus animals for the cages, and even placed real straw in the bottom of the cages. The Brigham Carnegie library featured a week of storytelling. Guest storytellers from the Brigham City area were Lillian Knudsen, Evelyn Daines, Ruby Taylor and Lucile Kerr. was Storytelling scheduled from 4 to 5 p.m. each day of National Library Week. In the childrens section of the library, a brightly colored circus train was on display. The circus train was made specially for Library Week by Mrs. Ruby Taylors first grade class at Central Elementary school. Mrs. Sam Chournos, outgoing president, presided at the election meeting held this month in Logan. Named president was Laura Selman. Janice Chournos of Box Elder county was elected first vice president; Frona Pritchett of Cache county, second vice president; and Ivy Peart of Rich county, third vice president.
