They went for a drive through the V' alley Forge State park and spent a day in Washington D.C. where they got to the entrance to the LDS temple. They had to pay tolls on four different turn pikes going to and from the capitol city. They made a special trip to see the Atlantic ocean. They also attended stake conference in a Philadelphia stake where LeGrand Richards was the speaker. They returned by way of Denver. Keith Anderson of Tremonton and Carlyle Anderson of Idaho, visited with the Ken Pasketts Tuesday evening. Elvira Christensen was taken to the Cooley hospital early Wednesday morning by her nephew Lee Johnsen. It was found that she was suffering from a heart attack. The latest news is that she is improvinng. Maurine Toone and daughter of Croydon called on the L.W. Iversons and the Ken Pasketts Wednesday evening. Kimmie Nessler was in Salt Lake Friday evening to visit an uncle who is in the hospital there. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ryt-tin- g of Santa Rose, Calif., visited with the Pasketts Friday evening. Christmas day, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Christensen will take their son Kent to the airport to catch his plane which will return him to his base in North Carolina. That evening they will put Edna Christensen on the plane for Ontario, Calif, where she will spend a month with her daughter LaVell to recuperate from her recent illness. Wanda Johnsen, DeVerl Janet Anderson, daughter Mr. and Mrs. Verl Anderson performed in four per- formances of the Nutcrcker Ballet. Sylvia is the youngest member of the group and played a trumpet solo. Susan plays the violin. The conductor is very proud of this group of young people who are all under 16. The professor paid all the expenses for the group which mounted to $1200. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Hawkes accompanied by Blair and Merrilee spent Sunday with Boyds parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hawkes of Howell for the annual family party. Out of 36 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren there were only three grandchildren and three great grandchildren unable to attend. That evening the Hawkes stopped at the home of L.W. Iverson to visit with Pat and Dewey Anderson of Cupertino, California. Later in the evening Betty and Pete M. Misrasi and Tyler joined the group. Christmas Party t Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Archibald and daughter Joy Nelson and three sons, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Johnsen, Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Johnsen and baby and Kenny Johnsen, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dallin and sons and LaVon Dallin drove to Coalville where they were joined by other celebrated her birthday Sunday with her grandmother Carrie J. Christensen as a dinner guest. Kendall Julander and Mark Anderson were the speakers. These boys enter the mission home Jan. 4. Kendall is the son of the Vaugh Julanders. Ronnie Henrickson is home from the BYU for the holidays. Mrs. Henrickson informed us that Ronnie has been called to serve a mission for the church in Spain. He will enter the mission home in February, and will then spend two months at the university for language training. Mrs. Ida Christensen had company Sunday. Driving up from Layton to visit were the Wayne Johnsons and three children. On Saturday Mrs. Daisy Duke and grandchildren Cleann and grandson Greg and Mark called on Ida, their maternal grandmother.
