President Benon Wheatley conducted a short business meeting prior to the program. Mrs. Linda Clark favored with two vocal solos accompanied by Mrs. Patty Hess. Mrs. Barbara Buchanen gave a book review in her own original way of the biography of the fabulous Israelite lady, Golda Mier written by Peggy Mann. Dainty light refreshments were served. The Literary Guild met with Mrs. Marjoie Stenquist as hostess Tuesday evening. Ruth Manning gave an interesting review of Frank Gilbreths book entitled Time Out For Happiness. A tasty light luncheon was served. Don Morrison, a student at BYU in Provo is spending the Thanksgiving holidays visiting his mother Mrs. Vernell Morrison. for Leaving Wednesday Spokane are Mr. and Mrs. Steve Hales. They will spend a week and visiting their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Michaelis and family. A dinner party will be held in the 5th Ward church building on Thanksgiving. Attending will be Mr. and Mrs. Con Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Fuhriman of Tremonton; Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Harris of Portage; Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Ward of Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Harris and family of Shoshone, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Harris and son Billie of Springfield, Ore; Dan and Ronald Harris of Provo; Brad Harris, a student at Ricks college in Rexburg; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Moore and family of Preston; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Pettingill and family of Toppenish, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. LaMont Moore of Idaho Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry McClure of Iona, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mendoza and three daughters of Los Angeles and Mr and Mrs. Phil Harris and family of Salt Lake City, a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mendoza and three daughters of Los Angeles are spending the holidays with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Con Hansen. son-in-la- Elder Home . Elder George Whitney returned home Friday after fulfilling an LDS mission in West Germany. Meeting him at the Salt Lake airport was his mother, Mrs. Dottie Whitney. Enroute home Elder Whitney and visited his brother-in-lasister, Mr. and Mrs. Jay (Brenda W'hitney) Hassell in New Britian, Conn. The Hassells had met him at the New York airport along with Miss Christine Rigby of New York City. They all spent sometime in Washington D.C. where they attended two sessions of the deciation of the new LDS Temple. On hand to greet Elder Whitney when he arrived in Tremonton were Mr. and Mrs. Spence Gardner and son Layne of Blackfoot. Mrs. Dottie Whitney proudly announces the arrival of a new granddaughter born Nov. 12 to Mr. and Mrs. Duncan (Leslie Whitney) Ververs in Rochester, N.Y. The Ververs have two boys and one girl at home. The new baby will be named Karin Elizabeth Ververs. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Krey Fronk enjoyed a pizza dinner in Provo Friday evening along with Shelley Holmgren and Camille Chlarson, students at BYU. They all attended the basketball game in Orem with Bear River High school vs Orem High school. Mrs. Alice Cummings of Ogden has been spending a few days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Rogers. Friday evening they attended a wedding reception held in the Civic Center in Hyrum for Mark Archibald who claimed Toni Rose as his bride in rites performed in the Logan LDS Temple. Mrs. Kent McMurdie entertained at a pink and blue shower at her home Saturday evening for Mrs. Bill (Ronna Lee Hill) Terburg of Farmington. Twelve close friends and relatives attended. Games were played and delicious refreshments served. Ronna Lee was the repicient of lovely and useful gifts. Fun The Tremonton-GarlanClub met with Mrs. Edith Timothy as hostess Thursday evening. They will spend the weekend in Fillmore visiting Mr. and Mrs. Paul Robison and Mrs. Millie Callister. They will also visit other relatives and friends. They all attended the wedding ceremony at the Logan LDS Temple Friday where Mark Archibald claimed Toni Rose of Hyrum as his bride. A reception followed that evening at the Civic Center in Hyrum. The young couple were further honored at an open house held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sid Garrett in Salt Lake City Saturday evening. Dr. and Mrs. D.B.
